CIRCUS UPDATE
Along with the rest of the FRPS Community, we are delighted to see the school gates open and our children returning to a “bubble free” school. It has been lovely to see so many happy faces on the playground and children mixing more freely.
With a new School Year ahead and real hope for a return to in person social events and fundraisers, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that any plans we have are risk assessed in line with the very latest Government Covid guidance, and to ensure that any event we hold is done so in a way that minimises any potential negative impact on the school.
Recent changes in Government guidance regarding Covid cases on school premises have led us to seriously consider the potential impact an event with over 800 attendees passing through the grounds in a four-hour period could have on the school at a time when the most important thing to all of us is our children being back in school.
Circumstances and the subsequent Local Authority advice changes frequently and with numbers on the rise over the past few weeks across Stockport, there is a very real possibility that not only could the Circus event be subject to short notice cancellation should positive cases in our Community rise, there is an even bigger risk that this event could lead to an increased transmission within the school.
It is for these reasons that we take this decision with a heavy heart, but with the best interests of the school community we work so hard to support firmly in mind.
THE CIRCUS EVENT PLANNED FOR WEDNESDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER HAS THEREFORE BEEN POSTPONED AND WILL BE RE-SCHEDULED TO TUESDAY 24TH MAY 2022.
We will be combining the 5pm and 7pm shows into one amazing two hour show (with interval) at 5.30pm
ALL REFUND REQUESTS HAVE NOW BEEN RECEIVED AND ARE BEING PROCESSED VIA TICKETSOURCE
